In mid-August 2007, Alpha established its first overseas office - in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under the direction of Bassem Ahmed. Alpha is providing project controls, program/construction management and disputes resolution services to a variety of clients on major commercial and public works projects in the Middle East.

Alpha has been selected to provide Construction Management Services for the National Park Service under another 5-year contract. This will be Alpha's 3rd consecutive award, totaling 15 years.

Alpha has been selected for award of a 10-year indefinite quantity contract by the Navy. Alpha applied for engineering and construction management / project controls services in the National Capital and Mid Atlantic Regions.

Patrick Kelly and Chris Carson presented their paper on “Schedule Design Planning for Schedule Development” at the AACE National Conference June 29th - July 2nd in Toronto, CA.

At the Annual ACEC-MW Conference held on June 4, 2008, Philios Angelides, P.E., Senior Vice President, was presented with the President's Award for outstanding service to the Chapter during the previous year. Philios completed his ten-year tenure with ACEC-MW. He will be continuing his work with the organization serving as Chairman of the Federal Facilities Liaison Committee at the ACEC National level.

Alpha has made Engineering News Record's (ENR) Top 100 Construction Management Firms in the Nation again this year. Alpha is ranked No. 50. Alpha is also ranked No. 29 among the Top 40 Program Management Firms in the nation.
