Project Summary
The Saint Elizabeths Hospital site encompasses 200 acres and consists of many buildings, some of them historical. Over the past decade Alpha Corporation has been involved in a number of coordinated efforts to consolidate the DC Department of Mental Health facilities into a more manageable form. The DC Department of Mental Health required the evaluation and recommendation of ways to consolidate their functions into a smaller area on the site as well as evaluate sites and develop a program for the new hospital. The resulting program included the new hospital, renovation of RMB and other buildings, and evaluation of other east campus systems.
