Alpha Corporation had the distinct honor of being recognized by the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) earlier this month at the VTCA Consultants Forum for the quality construction engineering and inspections performed on the Route 29 at Route 666 Interchange Improvements project in Culpeper County.
The Route 29 at Route 666 project, which was one of the 2013 “Virginia’s Road to the Future” initiatives, involved replacing the existing intersection of Routes 29 and 666 with a grade-separated diamond interchange while implementing important safety and capacity improvements through reconstructing the at-grade intersection with bike lanes, a shared-use path, and sidewalk.
Alpha submitted the project for the 2017 Transportation Engineering Award in the category of VDOT Project >$10M in partnership with VDOT and Chemung Contracting Corporation, the construction contractor.
