Project Summary
The FEMA Public Safety Building is a new 22,500 SF multi-purpose building. The one-story building houses the Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC) Fire & Rescue Company 21 and the intermediate Care Healthcare Clinic. The fire station occupies the west side of the facility and the health unit occupies the east side, with the apparatus bay occurring between the uses. This building was designed to achieve a life cycle energy reduction of 33.9% when compared to the baseline. The building includes a 70-space paved parking lot and emergency vehicle aprons and drives.
