Project Summary

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is a National Laboratory and Federally Funded Research and Development Center (RDC) operated by The Trustees of Princeton University. The project includes design and construction of a new laboratory and office facility with connection to the existing utility infrastructure systems required to support the multi-discipline scientific objective of the Princeton Plasma Innovation Center (PPIC). The focus of PPIC will center on energy-related research programs, combining expertise from within the four core area groups. The project will provide approximately a new, 24,000 gross square foot, fully functional multi-laboratory with support area and new 60,000 gross square feet of office/admin/collaboration area totaling approximately 84,000 gross square feet of new construction. Alpha Corporation performed a detailed review of the design report, developed a Class B Uniformat Independent Government Estimate (IGE) and market study, and is part of the construction management advisory team providing construction oversight for PPPL.
