Bridge and Ancillary Structures Safety Inspections

Alpha has been conducting safety inspections of bridges, highway structures, and traffic device support structures for state and local government agencies for over 30 years. Our expertise is not only the condition inspection, but also the design and construction of new or repaired bridges and traffic control device structures, enabling us to identify and locate conditions that may otherwise be overlooked. Our team of certified Team Leaders and inspectors has inspected hundreds of bridges and thousands of ancillary structures over the past 30 years.

Alpha has held contracts with DOTs and local government agencies where our team of certified bridge inspectors and licensed professional engineers have inspected a variety of bridges and ancillary structures, including small culverts, single span steel, concrete and masonry bridges, steel trusses, and major bridge structures in addition to sign, signal, and high mast light structures.

Alpha has also provided NBIS Inspection services on large corridor bridges (e.g., VDOT’s I-66, I-395, and I-95 bridges in the NoVA District, and I-95 bridges in the Fredericksburg and Richmond Districts) and multi-span steel truss bridges (e.g., Sagamore and Bourne Bridges in Massachusetts for USACE New England District).
