Alpha Corporation recently appointed industry-veteran, Lara E. Hegler, P.E., as its new Chief Operations Officer.
Lara brings 28 years of experience successfully growing regional markets in large architectural and engineering consulting firms. Her in-depth experience in the transit and transportation markets includes business development, operations, project delivery, and financial management.
Her technical expertise includes programming, planning, design, and construction of major highway, transit, and bridge projects. Recent projects include program management for Fairfax County’s THE ONE, a $795 million bus rapid transit system, and design oversight for Greater Richmond Transit Company’s award-winning PULSE Design-Build Project.
Over the last 20 years, Lara has worked on many of region’s signature projects and programs including the K Street Transitway, 11th Street Bridge Replacements, the Frederick Douglass Bridge, I-495 Express Lanes, the I-95 Express Lanes, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Silver Line, I-66 Express Lanes, and Capitol Crossings Air Rights Project over I-395.
