VA Loch Raven, Community Living Center Addition – U.S. Department of Veterans

Project Summary

The Community Living Center (CLC) addition provides outpatient clinical services to visiting and resident patient alike. The 23,500 GSF, three story addition is situated in the north west corner of the CLC site, directly adjacent to the CLC’s drop off entrance and the main vehicle entrance to the fa­cility from Loch Raven Boulevard. The Clinic Addition has a separate drop off entrance for visiting patients, connects internally to the CLC, and accesses an open air courtyard from lower level doors. The two primary levels consist of approximately 10,000 GSF of floor space with a 3,500 GSF basement below grade. The space pro­vides physical, occupational, and recreational therapy, private treatment and consultation rooms, as well as im­prove storage utilizing the application of “Planetree” pa­tient centered care principles.
