Project Summary

The 68-acre Washington Monument grounds have undergone a complete transition from a motley maze of dirt paths, obtrusive lighting structures, and jersey barriers to an impressive symmetrical landscape. This extensive $15 million design-build project included construction of interconnecting walkways and vehicle barrier walls, granite pavers, hydraulic bollard system with an alarm system, removal and relocation of light vaults, relocation of flagpoles, improved drainage system, new irrigation system, and landscaping.
